The Story

Chanelle's journey began at the age of 12 when she assisted her mother, a designer for a builder, in selecting colors, wallpaper, and other elements for new constructions. She later attended design school in Dallas and has been actively involved in the design field since she was 22. Her experience spans various areas, including fashion design, merchandising, fashion show production, and set design, most notable as Fashion Director for the famous Lord & Taylor department store. She has guided clients in navigating floor plans, building new homes, renovating existing spaces, and working in her family’s renovation business. Eventually, she established her own successful design company, where she continues to innovate and inspire. She builds lasting relationships with her clients, successfully transforming spaces ranging from single rooms to entire homes, whether in a grand mansion or a cozy cabin.

Chanelle has built a remarkable 40-year career marked by a diverse range of expertise across several industries, including broadcast media, marketing, sales, fashion, interior design, event planning, social media management, training, motivational speaking, and small business coaching. Over the past decade, she has dedicated her efforts to transforming the short-term vacation rental industry, driving significant improvements in the standards of vacation homes and creating exceptional experiences for guests.

For eight successful years, Chanelle owned and operated her own vacation rental management company, where she implemented best practices that raised the bar for quality in the industry. In 2024, she made the strategic decision to sell her company, having laid a solid foundation for excellence in vacation home management. 

Currently, Chanelle combines her passion for interior design with her extensive industry knowledge to serve as a coach and consultant. She assists short-term vacation rental clients and individuals who are eager to enhance their offerings, improve their operational standards, and grow their businesses. Through her targeted coaching and consulting services, Chanelle empowers her clients to achieve their goals and elevate their ventures in the competitive vacation rental market.

Chanelle is incredibly proud to be married to her husband, LT Gen. Joseph Cosumano, who dedicated 36 years of service to the Army.  As a Veteran family, they are committed to enriching the lives of Veterans through several organizations.

At the heart of her life is her family, which includes two married daughters and two adorable granddaughters, along with her baby girl who is building a career in commercial construction in New Orleans. Chanelle cherishes the importance of creating beautiful, functional spaces that unite her loved ones, as family is her true passion. Her favorite travel destination is the breathtaking beauty of Jackson, Wyoming, notably Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park, where she finds peace and inspiration in nature.
